What People's Say About Place

I had an appointment in New Hampton and researched what restaurants were around New Hampton. I was impressed by the positive reviews people had posted about Klunders, so we checked it out. I ordered a California hamburger and my two sides were a salad and hash browns. The burger was fresh and tasty with plenty of onions and pickles. The salad was fresh w/ carrot shavings on top (pretty basic) but the hash browns were hot and crispy on the edges : so good! Also a patty melt which was delicious, plenty of crinkle cut fries and delicious, tangy and sweet cole slaw. The iced tea and lemonade were refreshing. The staff were friendly and attentive. On the way to pay, you cannot miss the dessert case full of scrumptious looking pies and cakes. We brought home a piece of carrot cake and a slice of cherry pie to be enjoyed later. We will most definitely be back!

We live in the next town over from Klunder’s Kafe but don’t get over there as often as we should. Decided to go today and it was totally worth the drive. Our waitress, Mandy, was very attentive without hovering, and our food came quickly. I had the liver & onions dinner (hey, to each his own, okay?) and my husband had the ground sirloin dinner. We both opted for a salad and potato wedges as our sides. Both dinners came with a huge homemade dinner roll and butter. My liver & onions was cooked to perfection and smothered with a big pile of succulent grilled onions. The potato wedges were perfectly crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside-how do they that?? Servings for both were very generous. The menu is pretty extensive with sandwiches (2 different styles of Reubens, wraps), burgers, dinners-lots of options. We will be going back more often.

PANCAKES BIGGER THAN YOUR FACE. Be prepared for a delicious meal and I hope you come hungry. We had one California Burger (great and refreshing) with the salad and soup of the day, as well as a California Burger with a 3 stack of pancakes. Well, I could have just got the pancakes! THEY ARE HUGE AND AWESOME. Thank you, Anna, for being our server and helping us navigate the menu.

Nice calm atmosphere. I ordered the cinnamon roll pancake... it was diabeticly wonderful. Lol I could not eat all of it, but it was very very good. I would absolutely go back again. My waitress was very sweet as well.

Went to Klunder’s for the first time and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere took me back—it felt just like the small-town diner my grandparents used to take me to when I was a kid. Cozy, welcoming, and full of charm. The service was friendly and attentive, the food was classic and satisfying, and the pie? Absolutely amazing. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area! Also I eat a lot and was very full with change in my pocket.

What an awesome place. Super friendly waitresses. Outstanding food, very clean, love this place. BTW their Maple rolls are the size of your head & to die for! The pie looked amazing but I just didn't have the tummy room.

This was my first time here. We were traveling through and stopped based on the other reviews. Everything was cooked perfectly, it was great tasting. Several of us had the hot beef with mashed potatoes. This is what they are highly known for, and the quality shows. Very filling and a can’t go wrong lunch. And of course, if you stop here, you must try the pie. The wide range of options are unbelievable. And the pieces are very big. Can’t go wrong on the pie. If you’re in the area, you really need to stop here. And the service was very friendly and family like.

We made a quick stop for lunch at the tail end of a lunch rush. Kara was friendly and took care of us. The service was quick and the food was good. The Super BLT and tenderloin were good. I wish I would have tried one of the beef or turkey platters, maybe means a return trip! Easy access off the highway.
